How to reach the port of split

By car: split is easily accessible thanks to the connections with the A1 and the E71: to enter the city take road # 8: when you get Poljicka Cesta turn right towards Kraja Zvonimira. Stay on Kraja Zvonimira Obala Kneza Domagoja till you get on that leads directly to the ferry port of split.
By train: there are connections by train from split and Zagreb (from 5 to 9 hours trip) and to Zadar (6 hours).
The city of split is located in central Dalmatia, in Southwest Croatia, where you can enjoy a unique environment and runs along the beautiful coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is an ancient port city that focuses around the huge Roman Diocletian's Palace, with bars, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops, and is today a very popular holiday destination.
The surrounding mountainous landscape offers shelter from the Adriatic Sea and its plentiful beaches. There are no beaches in split, but the closest is the Bacvice Beach, very busy during the summer season. Other nearby beaches are Kaštelet Cove to the West, the beach Zlatni Rat on the island of Brac, Bol, island Potoine beach ideal for windsurfing and scuba diving.
Ferries connect the town with Ancona, Pescara, Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Korcula and Mljet.
