Currently, this city is connected to Cairo from 2 major highways and a rail line. It is one of the most important summer resort in the Middle East, also thanks to its mild winters and its white sand beaches and beautiful landscapes that stretch for 140 km along the Mediterranean, from Abu Qir, East to Ala – Alamein and Sidi Abdul Rahman West.
