      The island is in the shape of a butterfly and this is also called "the butterfly of the Aegean".
      Chora, the capital of the island, is completed perfectly with Skala, the port below, from where the few tourists come who decide to enjoy a holiday here. Geographically Astypalea belongs to the Dodecanese but very often it is inserted among the Cyclades, as there are many characteristics that unite it to the islands of this archipelago.

      Naxos is the largest (428 km²) of the Cyclades, Greek islands located in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Prefecture of the Cyclades which, together with the Dodecanese, is in turn part of the Periferiadell'Egeo Meridionale.
      Its largest city and capital is Chora which has 12,000 inhabitants. The most important villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Tragea, Koronos, Sangri and Apollonas.
      Naxos is a well-known tourist destination with several easily accessible archaeological sites. It has many beaches considered very beautiful by tourists such as Sant'Anna, St. Procopius, Alikos, Kastraki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka and St. George, most of which are located on the west side of the island.
      It is the most fertile island of the Cyclades and inside it rises Mount Zas (1004 m).
