Destination information Schinousa Schoinoussa is a former municipality of Greece in the outskirts of the Southern Aegean (peripheral units Naxos) with 206 inhabitants. It was abolished as a result of the administrative reform, called the Callicrate Program, in force since January 2011 and is now included in the municipality of Naxos and Little Cyclades. It is located in the homonymous island.
Information about Naxos Naxos is the largest (428 km²) of the Cyclades, Greek islands located in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Prefecture of the Cyclades which, together with the Dodecanese, is in turn part of the Periferiadell'Egeo Meridionale. Its largest city and capital is Chora which has 12,000 inhabitants. The most important villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Tragea, Koronos, Sangri and Apollonas. Naxos is a well-known tourist destination with several easily accessible archaeological sites. It has many beaches considered very beautiful by tourists such as Sant'Anna, St. Procopius, Alikos, Kastraki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka and St. George, most of which are located on the west side of the island. It is the most fertile island of the Cyclades and inside it rises Mount Zas (1004 m).
