Note on EU ETS Charges:

As of January 1, 2024, under EU Directive 2023/959, maritime transport is included in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). Each passenger and vehicle is subject to an additional charge labeled “EU ETS costs,” which is non-discountable and non-refundable.

Public service routes (e.g. Naples/Palermo - Cagliari, Civitavecchia - Arbatax/Cagliari) are currently exempt from EU ETS.
