All arriving passengers , tourists and residents, regardless of the length of stay or the purpose of the visit, can opt to observe a 14-day quarantine or to undergo a double screening procedure which includes two swabs, the first carried out immediately upon arrival or disembarkation, the second after 5-6 days, with a quarantine period in the interval between the two samples. Those who test negative on the second swab can come out of quarantine. Incoming travelers who are able to produce either a medical certificate (in Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English) issued by an EU / EFTA state certifying the presence of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 (test PCR or serological test) after contracting covid-19 or a valid international vaccination certificate. Minors born in and after 2005 are exempt from testing and quarantine. For more information click
